A few days ago I realized I got a bite on my finger. it has now turned into my whole hand being swollen up and looking gross. I'll try to skip some of the real details but I had to go to the doctor today and get it checked out and get some antibiotics for it. It's a pretty limiting sore, I can't really even put my hand in my pocket because it's fat and hurts. So hopefully that will go away soon, because it's no fun at all...
I'm gonna try to keep up with posts on here more often than I have. I've been somewhat busy and have had a lot going on in my mind and it's hard to type clear thoughts so I've just been avoiding it, but hopefully things will start working out better! I am still looking for a job and am still short on support as of right now, so pray for both of those!

To keep it fairly simple. I've been having a rough time out here lately. Not because of the project by any means, but it was just where God put me to be able to change some things in my life. So it's been looking up some since I've realized this, but it's still hard to live with, but I know it's for a better plan than my own. Tomorrow, Tuesday, I get to go to campus for the first time! We'll be going to San Diego State U and sharing with ppl on their campus. It's gets even better because I get to lead the Bible study over Hebrews 3 and 4 tomorrow! So I'm really excited even though I'm somewhat nervous about it all. But it will be great. I'll update about how that went sometime tomorrow night. Still continue to pray for my support costs and just for my summer. And let me know if I can pray for anything!

An Update
As for me I've been a little down because of the job situation, but other than that I've been having a great time and learning a lot. I've been spending some of my free time on writing or finishing up some songs, so hopefully I can post some sometime soon.
I was told initially that I was not in the worship band here but found out two nights ago that they made a mistake with the names and that I am in it! So we had practice last night and I'm pretty excited to get to continue to play some worship songs, it's gonna be a great experience to be around some other musicians than just the one's I'm used to. That's really about it for me now, I'll try to give a better, more in depth post about what's going on sometime tonight or tomorrow, and probably some smaller ones from my phone along the way! Thanks for reading and please pray for my support and job situation!

Nevertheless - O'Child
Lately your thoughts are so far.
I want to show you all that you're missing,
and I'll meet you right where you are.
O' Love, I've always known you, and,
O' Love, you've always been mine.
O' Love, I'm only asking you for your life.
Say that you need me. I know what you're feeling.
and You cannot do this alone. I gave you my Word,
and I gave you my life so you'll never be on your own.
O' Love, I've always known you, and,
O' Love, you've always been mine.
O' Love, I'm only asking you for your life.
You're waiting for this life to be what you wanted
(Is this what you wanted?)
You're waiting for this life to be what you needed.
(Is this what you needed?)
You're waiting for this life.
O' Love, I've always known you, and,
O' Love, you've always been mine.

This song was written basically from God to us, and it's amazing.
This song is God crying out to us, telling us that all He wants is for us to come closer, to be with Him. The chorus is so simple to understand, yet so difficult to fully understand and obey. All He is asking for is our life, every thing we are, every thing we have, every thing we think and know. I've seen lives come and go like nothing. I've seen lives wasted away in sin and doubt. I've seen lives completely changed around and made new in Christ. Through all this I've seen how worthless our life is, how meaningless we really are. So why do we cling to our lives so preciously when they mean nothing? All I have was given to me from God, it only makes since to give it all back to Him. Our lives mean nothing, until you see first hand the real beauty in everyone, and how giving your life away can help someone finally live by helping them give their life away too. It's more than amazing. It's God.

It's started
Tomorrow is more job hunting and meeting followed by some time that we get to go out on the beach and share with people we meet. I know everyone is nervous but it's going to be great so I'm not too worried with it. Hopefully it'll be a better day that I hope it will be!

Summer Project Start!
It hasn't really been that long that it's been going on but I've slowly been seeing this weekend that I really don't know that much about my faith. I know I've been coasting and haven't taken it really anyway lately. So I am confident that this summer will totally change how I am in so many ways. Hopefully translating into music for me to write, but if not, the change will still be present and I'll try my best to write about it on here so everyone can see it themselves.
I'm really ready to start this summer, it's been a long wait and I'm completely scared about it in some ways, but it's not my life after all, so however I feel about it, nervous, scared, whatever, I'll look past it and keep my eyes trusting in what really matters, God.

Day 1 in San Diego.
I spent all morning and some of the afternoon looking for a job out here. I think I may have a few good leads, but jobs seems pretty scarce right now with the economy how it is, along with our limited times we can work. So hopefully it'll work out for me, so pray about that for me if you can!
After the job search, one of the guys I'm with brought some long boards so we got to ride up and down the coast on the paths on them which was awesome. The even better part was we got to meet this street performer type guy. We rode by and saw he all a bunch of signs with different verses and sayings like "Jesus loves you", among others. He was out there with a keyboard getting ready to sing. My mind is set on this whole evangelistic thing for the summer and I've always wanted to talk to these type of people, so I did. He was really interesting. He is from Argentina and moved here I think in '87 and became a Christian. He's been coming to this spot on the beach for about a year, every Saturday. He went on to tell us stories about how some people have yelled at him telling him he's crazy and should leave, then they come back a few weeks later and apologize and have changed lives. He shared about how he can see people's lives changing is different ways through what he does. It was really good to see how one of these guys really has a big impact on the people out there. I told him that I play music as well so he invited me to come out and play sometime, and I'm really excited about it, so hopefully you can read about me doing that sometime in the next couple of weeks.
So it hasn't really hit me yet that their will be 120 other people coming in on Monday. It's going to be a lot of confusion chaos, but I know it's going to be amazing. I've just been praying that I will be able to do my part and contribute to our ministry team here. I can't wait to get started.

A Prayer To Send Off
What I have is nothing
What I know is nothing
Everything within me cries out in Your name
You hold every piece of me together
In every sense I am crying out to you
This time I say hurt me Lord, break me
Tear me down in Your name
I'll get up and stand before You and the world
Showing my scars as a statement of my love, and Yours
Asking for what's next

Getting Ready For San Diego
If you don't know me too well, I love to write. So I will posting up different things I write and talking about what I've been doing and how I feel on here, as well as probably posting videos I may make over the summer, so it will be a great chance to get to know me better throughout the summer. Leave any comments you want, or any encouragements. Or call/text/email me if you want to.
Right now, I have a subtle nervousness inside of me about this summer. I am convinced in every way that it is going to be amazing and life changing, yet I don't know how. I've seen the different talents God gave me and the possible uses for them. I've seen the struggles I have daily and why I need to fix them. I've seen the beauty of this world and the awe and wonder of life and God is the only answer I need. So I'm dedicating myself for this summer and the rest of my life to finding all the joy I can in God and do my best to spread it to each person I come in contact with, whether it's through talking about life, or just my actions around them. Let God's will be done.
I was listening to a song today that has the title and message of "history can't be undone, but it can be erased". At first I was thinking of course that it's good that it can be erased, but stinks that anything that happened is still there, technically. It wasn't until a little while ago that I realized that I really was only seeing half of what I read/heard. The fact that history can't be undone is just as important and that fact that it can be erased. Our lives are a testimony of God's love, just like Jesus' life was. Our testimony is how our life has changed, and if everything we do prior to forgiveness is undone, we have no testimony, just a statement of who we are at that particular moment. (I'm not trying to sound like I have a completely terrible past, just thought it was something good to think about)
